What is ad valorem insurance?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Prior to express delivery to the final recipient, the goods are handled during parcel collection, sorting, loading and throughout the transport process. They may be subject to physical impacts inherent in our express transport activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the event of a problem or incident, and if the carrier’s liability is proven, you will receive compensation provided for by the legislation in force. This compensation is fixed and subject to the weight transported (see our general conditions of sale). Therefore, your compensation in the event of loss or damage to the goods transported may be lower than their actual value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ad valorem insurance is a complementary and optional insurance which insures your goods according to their declared value rather than their weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why take out ad valorem insurance?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main advantage of ad valorem insurance for the ordering customer is the insurance premium, which depends on the declared value and not on the weight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the event of an incident, compensation is made on the basis of the purchase price or cost price of the goods, excluding tax and with a deduction for obsolescence. The compensation limit is \u20ac15,000 per parcel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
